Star Wars: Episode IX Is Looking For “Stern-Faced Individuals” For A Scene With Finn And Poe

Star Wars: Episode IX is set to begin production this month, and it looks like Lucasfilm has been busy filling up the film with extras for a scene that might involve the Resistance's favorite flyboy, Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaacs), and popular stormtrooper-turned-Resistance-Fighter, Finn (John Boyega).

According to the podcast Making Star Wars (via That Hashtag Show) Lucasfilm is currently looking for "stern-faced individuals" for a scene that the studio's going to film for Episode IX in August. Though the film is being kept under tight wraps as it prepares for production, word has it that the scene could have Isaacs and Boyega together in a scene that could be placed "in a bar." Though it's unsure whether this scene will have some sparks fly between the two, it has been described as a major scene between Finn and Poe, so it looks like we'll have to look out for this moment in the film.

Given its location, the scene pretty much sounds like another call to Star Wars: A New Hope's Cantina. Star Wars: The Last Jedi did have its own call to the iconic watering hole when it sent Rose (Kelly Marie Tran) and Finn together in Canto Bight. We can only wonder whether this bar that Finn and Poe is going to be shady like the Cantina, or luxurious like the one in Canto Bight.

Star Wars: Episode IX hits cinemas December 20, 2019.
