Now that Star Wars: The Last Jedi is a little over a month from its release date, Lucasfilm's been more eager to share info about the sequel trilogy's newest installment.

Star Wars special effects artist Neal Scanlan has been talking to Empire about the new creatures joining the franchise, discussing the design process that came with the creation of the Porgs, the caretakers, the crystal foxes and more.

In his discussion with the publication, Scanlan also teased a confrontation between the cutesy ball droid BB-8 and his evil twin in the First Order, BB-9E, otherwise dubbed by Star Wars fans as BB-Hate. The droid will be joining Poe Dameron in the Resistance's fight with the First Order, and it looks like BB-8's going to have a run-in with its evil counterpart in The Last Jedi.

"There was this one scene in particular where BB-8 is in disguise and has to try and make his way without being recognized," Scanlan said. "It just seemed so threatening that his doppelgänger would be the very one that may or may not discover him."

It seems like an interesting choice for Lucasfilm to have BB-8 go head to head with BB-9 in The Force Awakens sequel. We wonder at what point that's going to happen in the movie.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi makes its big premiere on December 15, 2017.
