Star Wars Book Covers Give A Closer Look At Crait Pods And Other Resistance Ships

Lucasfilm may not have a panel for Star Wars or Star Wars: The Last Jedi at this year's San Diego Comic Con, but it looks like the studio still has a lot of pretty interesting releases at the convention this weekend.

While they might not be directly connected to the sequel trilogy's upcoming installment, Lucasfilm has just recently released a slew of Star Wars book covers and some of them give fans a closer look at the different characters and ships in The Force Awakens sequel.

Posting the covers in the official Star Wars website, the studio reveals a new book focused on Kelly Marie Tran's resistance technician, Rose. Taking center stage in the cover of Elizabeth Wein's Cobalt Squadron, fans get to see Rose posing along with a couple of pilots, one of which we assume to be Rose's sister played by Veronica Ngo, Paige. The image also sheds some light on The Last Jedi trailer's confusing Resistance starships, revealing the vehicles to be medium bombers instead of large capital ships.

Another book cover, one for Rose and Finn's Mission, shows John Boyega's Stormtrooper-turned-resistance fighter spending time with Rose.

The last cover of significant interest graces Jason Fry and Kemp Remillard's Incredible Cross-Sections and shows off the pod-like ships at the battle of Crait.

Lucasfilm's Star Wars book covers are certainly a treat to look at, and while they may not tell fans much about the main story of The Last Jedi, they do provide some clarity to the upcoming sequel trilogy movie.

Star War: The Last Jedi hits cinemas December 15 this year.
