Star Wars Bits: Behind-the-Scenes Photo of Jedi Master Luke, Daisy Ridley Discusses Filming on Skellig Michael

Star Wars: The Force Awakens may be behind us, but that doesn't mean there won't be any more bits and pieces of news from the seventh installment that will thrill us. We shared a video earlier this week showing all the Easter eggs and references in the movie. There's also the original concept work showing how the film could have been much darker.

Now, a new behind-the-scenes image of Mark Hamill as Jedi Master Luke Skywalker had just been released in a recent article by Variety. Luke is seen donning his Jedi robes, appearing as if he's about to meet Rey (Daisy Ridley) in that final scene in TFA on the island of Ahch-To, home to the First Jedi Temple.

Check it out:

The scene was shot in Skellig Michael, Ireland. Speaking of which, there's also a new video that popped up of Ridley sharing her experience on the majestic island.

Speaking to GossIRE at the annual Oscar Wilde Party in Ireland, the Star Wars actress shared how she went up the height of the mountain and how she felt shooting in the UNESCOWorld Heritage Site.

See Ridley's interview below:

Star Wars: Episode VIII has also used Skellig Michael, now the real-life site of Ahch-To, as a filming location. Now, the Tourism Ireland agency is inviting fans to see the Temple for themselves.

It sure would be fun and I hope I can go there someday and remember Luke and Rey in that momentous scene at the end of The Force Awakens.
