Star Wars Battlefront II Modder Responds To EA Statement With A Pink Darth Vader

Last year, Electronic Arts CFO Black Jorgensen was met with heckles after he made a statement to Star Wars Battlefront II gamers saying that the reason why the company chose a wider scale of microtransactions for actual boosts in gameplay instead of cosmetic options is because no one would really be interested in having a Pink Darth Vader.

"The one thing we're very focused on and [Lucasfilm are] extremely focused on is not violating the canon of Star Wars. Darth Vader in white probably doesn't make sense, versus in black. Not to mention you probably don't want Darth Vader in pink. No offense to pink, but I don't think that's right in the canon," Jorgensen said last year.

Now, proving him wrong, a Star Wars Battlefront IImodder has come up with a Pink Darth Vader, and boy does he look dangerously fab.

Though the mod listing is short, it's full of wit. Presenting Jorgensen's statement along with a picture of Pink Vader, the modder offers the simple tagline "For those who may not be necessarily concerned about "canon" in their Star Wars video game."

Though we do understand that gamers might want to keep Vader in his usual color range, we also understand why some gamers would respond this way after the backlash against Star Wars Battlefront II's microtransaction methods.

Star Wars Battle Front II is currently available on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.
