Star Wars Battlefront II Getting Free Single-Player DLC

The past few days haven't been too kind to EA Games or their game Star Wars Battlefront II, with fans angry at the company for making iconic heroes like Luke Skywalker hard to unlock unless they pay with real money. EA has since tried to right these wrongs, making heroes much easier to unlock and continue to listen to fan feedback. This is why it's interesting to hear them promote the free single-player DLC coming to the game, which has excited some fans.

Minor spoilers for the game's single-player campaign in 3..2..1...

According to a press release from EA, fans will be getting a three-chapter epilogue called Resurrection as DLC for the game, which will be released on December 5. It will still star Iden Versio, who will be searching for her husband during these three additional chapters, which will take place sometime after Episode VI and possibly during Episode VII or Episode VIII.

While three chapters don't sound like much, it's good seeing the developers show some love to the single-player campaign of Battlefront II. Many fans were displeased with the lack of strong campaign in the first game and the sequel seems to have learned from this. Trailers have hyped the new story and it has gotten some praise over the last few days.

Star Wars Battlefront II is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17, which is a few short days away. Future DLC will add characters like Finn and Captain Phasma to the mix.
