Though a lot of excitement is gathering over the Star Trek franchise's upcoming Star Trek Discovery, the latest television installment of the classic science fiction series is taking its sweet time through production, and information regarding the show has been too far and too few in between. However, new reports finally give fans a time frame that they can look forward to this year.
According to a report by The Wrap, CBS head honcho Leslie Moonves revealed in the 2017 Morgan Stanley Technology yesterday when Star Trek Discovery would most likely premiere.
"Star Trek Discovery" should now premiere "late summer/early fall, probably," Moonves said.
According to the CBS head, Star Trek Discovery is the "family jewel" of the All Access network and though the series has been facing a few hiccups in production previously like losing its intended showrunner, Bryan Fuller because of conflicting work schedules, CBS is taking its time to get Star Trek Discovery right. After all, the series is going to be the modern television take of the classic series. Fans deserve a stellar Star Trek television show.
