Stan Lee Reminds Fans That Marvel Has No Room For Hatred And Discrimination

Right now the world seems so full of hate, fear, bigotry, and discrimination. News channels are flooded with reports of rape, murder, shootings, bombings, terrorist attacks, and other acts of hatred.

Reminding fans that there should be no place for hatred and discrimination in the Marvel Universe as well as our own, Marvel Legend Stan Lee sends out a message reaffirming the fact that Marvel Comic's stories about justice and heroism "have room for everyone, regardless of their race, gender, religion, or color of their skin."

"The only things we don't have room for are hatred, intolerance, and bigotry. That man next to you — he's your brother. That woman over there — she's your sister. And that kid walking by — hey, who knows, he may have the proportionate strength of a spider! We're all part of one big family — the human family — and we all come together in the body of Marvel."

Lee's message is pretty timely. There's so much hatred around the world these days. Sunday night tragedy struck an outdoor music festival in Las Vegas after a gunman took the lives of more than 50 people and wounded close to five hundred. Back in August, there was a violent white nationalist protest in Charlottesville, Virginia and lately, there's been a resurgence of white supremacy in the US.

In times like these, it's good to hear messages like Lee's, reminding everyone to take a stand against hatred.
