Square Enix Reveals New Look at Sephiroth in Final Fantasy VII Remake

Final Fantasy VII has a lot of iconic characters, from Super Saiyan-looking Cloud, curves for days Tifa Lockhart, dead Aerith, and Vincent Valentine. However, it could be argued that the most popular character to come out of that title, the later-turned franchise is Sephiroth, the main villain. We all know his theme song, attacks, and iconic appearance, so it's no surprise that Sephiroth doesn't look that different from his initial inception in the Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Now that Square Enix has dropped the release date before their big E3 conference, fans are dying to see what the company has in store for fans in the actual event. In the meantime, they released a brand-new image of Sephiroth to keep us salivating for more and it's working; look at all of that awesomeness.

Sephiroth was already revealed in the State of Play trailer that featured a better look at the Final Fantasy VII Remake. His face wasn't shown but the character will be teased earlier than he was in the original game, which is an interesting move to make. No one complained about how the silver-haired villain was introduced last time but some early foreshadowing is far from the worst thing to add in this game.

Does this mean Aerith is living this time? Okay, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Unlike Gwen Stacy, who is allowed to have an alternate version that becomes Ghost-Spider, people seem to prefer Aerith dead. Sadness.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming out on March 3, 2020. Who would have thought that the game could actually be coming out?
