Square Enix Reveals New Details For Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis

Square Enix has revealed new details for Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis, which will be coming out on December 13. Out of the DLC Episodes released thus far, this is the one fans were most interested in since it will have multiple endings and detail how the character became blind in the main game. Thanks to the Active Time Report presentation (via Gematsu), we know even more about the upcoming DLC Episode.

Like the previous DLC, Episode Ignis will be fairly short. The developers confirmed that the story will only be an hour or two long, which isn't too meaty. However, an alternate route is unlocked after beating the story, which will lead to a really difficult boss fight. Interestingly enough, this boss was designed to appease users who were moved by the ending of the main game.

One addition in the DLC Episode that fans didn't expect was a special fight with Noctis, the protagonist of the game. Why this fight was added is unknown, but it should provide a nice challenge for players; assuming the battle itself is hard of course.

Final Fantasy XV is available now on PS4 and Xbox One, with a PC version coming out early 2018. Episode Ignis hits consoles next month, on December 13.
