Spider-Man PS4 is Saving the Black Suit for the Possible Sequel

While Spider-Man for the PS4 is filled to the brim with Easter Eggs, there are no doubt some elements missing from the lore—one thing in particular is the black symbiote suit. As it turns out, the devs are fully aware that people want to see Peter Parker in the outfit, but they're saving it for a possible sequel.

In an interview with Kinda Funny Games, game director Bryan Intihar said:

"I think something like [the symbiote suit] deserves its day in the spotlight. I think just making it an unlockable suit wouldn't be doing it justice. It's one of the best stories for Spider-Man. I think it's a complex story. And I think it's a story that needs to be told, and it needs to be told the way Insomniac would tell it."

Of course, the suit is also linked to the origin of Spidey villain Venom, who was absent from the game. Seeing that Venom is one of Spider-Man's ultimate nemeses, it would make sense that Insomniac wouldn't put all of its Spider-eggs in one basket.

As for the status of the sequel, nothing has been confirmed. All we have for now is the positive buzz that the game is generating online. Not to mention there is the DLC expansion coming in October called The City That Never Sleeps. The expansion comes in three parts, and Part One will release in October with parts two and three coming out November and December respectively.

Marvel's Spider-Man is now available to play for the PS4.
