Spider-Man Homecoming: There's A Neat JARVIS-Related Easter Egg About Spider-Man's Suit

The latest trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming revealed to us that the Stark-built suit has a JARVIS-like AI system called "Karen." Director Jon Watt's explains that there's a really cool easter egg about Karen and it relates to JARVIS—more specifically the guy who voices him, Paul Bettany.

As it turns out, Karen is voiced by actress Jennifer Connelly, who is married to Paul Bettany in real life. As Watts told EW:

"Yes, it's Jarvis' wife. It's cool, right?"

Some other fans have also pointed out that Karen is also the name of Plankton's computer wife on Spongebob Squarepants, but we'll just have to wait for Watts to confirm anything else.

This will be the first time onscreen where we get to see Peter Parker actually use a high-tech suit. With the Raimi films, it was just plain old spandex, and with TAS, the only high-tech thing about the suits were the web-shooters.

You have to give props to Marvel for fully revamping Spider-Man this time. With The Amazing Spider-Man barely bringing anything new to the table, Tom Holland's Peter Parker feels brand-spanking new, and we all can't wait to see more of him in theaters.

Spider-Man: Homecoming comes out July 7.
