Spider-Man: Far From Home Re-Release Has More New Footage Than Expected

While fans are pretty bummed about Spider-Man not being a part of the MCU anymore, they can take solace in the fact that Spider-Man: Far From Home was one banger of a film to end his tenure on. This is why fans are so excited for the re-release, which will add even more footage aside from the previously announced four-minute action sequence that was advertised before.

AMC confirmed the news and it will be interesting to see what will be included in the seven minutes of never-before-seen footage. Will these be unfinished deleted scenes ala Avengers: Endgame? Hopefully not but you never know, Sony has to sell Blu-rays and DVDs after all. Still, this could be the one time Sony learns from Marvel's mistake but let's wait and see.

Still, this isn't a bad alternative for those that just want to see Spider-Man: Far From Home again and don't plan on buying its Blu-ray. The film managed to be a great epilogue to Endgame and a solid Spider-Man adventure in its own right so here is hoping that the next MCU-less film will keep this tone.

Then again, with THAT post-credits sequence, having a new tone might be necessary.

I loved Far From Home, even though it wasn't as good as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. It was a big improvement from Homecoming in every way, though I've already seen the theatrical cut three times. Still, for those who haven't, you have seven minutes of new footage to check out.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will be re-released on August 29.
