Sonic the Hedgehog's Voice Actor Praises the Character's Wonderful Redesign

Now that fans can be excited to see Sonic the Hedgehog movie, the video game adaptation has become the talk of the town, thanks to that exquisite new character design. Now that Sonic is very cute and marketable, fans are willing to check this movie out in an "I hope it's good" way and not a "so bad it's good" way. Ben Schwartz, who will provide the voice of Sonic in the movie, is also very happy with the new design.

On Twitter, Schwartz announced that he is excited and honored to voice the "beautiful" blue blur and who wouldn't be at this point? Simply put, this is the Sonic design we should have gotten in the first place but there's no point crying over spilled milk, especially since mom used that spilled milk to make an awesome milkshake.

In other words, Sonic looks awesome and we can only hope that the movie is going to be a good one. Kind of a shame that Sega isn't releasing a video game to tie-in to this release, though fans could always pick up Sonic Mania right now. No joke, that is a very good game with beautiful graphics and an amazing soundtrack.

While the character design is fixed, keep in mind that the movie could still be a basic film with a dull plot. Sonic in the real world is a pretty lazy concept that The Smurfs and Alvin and The Chipmunks have done to death, with fans preferring a story that would have been set in Sonic's weird world of golden rings and loops to run through.

Sonic the Hedgehog comes out on February 14, 2020.
