Sonic the Hedgehog: What Knuckles Could Look Like in Live-Action

With Sonic the Hedgehog being a box office hit, everyone is already expecting a sequel to be greenlit soon. We know that Tails is going to be a character down the line, but we have yet to meet the rest of Sonic's friends. Thanks to Sony art director Raf Grassetti, we have a realistic rendering of what Knuckles could look like if he was put in the film.

I have to say, the redesign for Sonic is fantastic, and it translates in a great way when it comes to the other characters' designs. Grassetti's take on Tails is actually pretty close to the one we have in the film, and his look for Knuckles could very much work in the continuity of the film universe.

What I thought was a waste was the final look of Jim Carrey's Robotnik. For the whole film, he kind of just looked like Neo with a mustache, and we didn't get his classic look from the comics until the end. Hopefully, they bring him back for the sequel, because Carrey looks fantastic in the full costume.

Sonic tries to navigate the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound best friend -- a human named Tom Wachowski. They must soon join forces to prevent the evil Dr. Robotnik from capturing Sonic and using his powers for world domination.

Sonic the Hedgehog is now screening in theaters.
