Sonic the Hedgehog Super Bowl 2020 Trailer Has Famous Athletes and the Homing Attack

Paramount Pictures has released the Sonic the Hedgehog Super Bowl 2020 trailer and it's actually pretty funny. While fans have been divided over the movie's plot, the character's new redesign has regained a lot of faith from people who hated the previous design and seeing it in fun trailers like this is a treat. This is a pretty fun trailer that has one pretty good joke; athletes not knowing what kind of video they're doing.

NASCAR driver Kyle Busch, Olympic Gold Medal-winning track and field sprinter Allyson Felix, Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey, and the New Orleans Saints' wide receiver Michael Thomas start the video by speaking highly of someone. Soon, they all break character and ask what this video is for, revealing that Sonic is having them say all these nice things about him.

After this, we get some footage from the movie and it looks like it'll be fun. Some of the special effects are cool and Jim Carrey is, well, Jim Carrey for better or worse. His comedy style has aged a bit but he's rarely active as an actor these days and seeing Carrey on the big screen again could bring back the ‘90s nostalgia many had for him. Let's just hope for the best.
