Sonic the Hedgehog Star Ben Schwartz Celebrates Box Office Success by Thanking Fans


It looks like Sonic the Hedgehog is a major box office success and nobody is happier about that than Ben Schwartz. The Parks and Recreation star is currently celebrating the film's box office milestone and he made sure to thank the fans for making it all possible.

Schwartz took to his official Twitter account to share an article that confirms Sonic's worldwide box office haul. He then added a heartfelt caption dedicated to the fans. Take a look at his tweet below.

"In the words of Sonic- Ummm, meow? AHHH!!!#SonicMovie is #1 in the world & had the biggest domestic opening all time for a video game movie!" Schwartz wrote. "It's all because of the fans that we are here. Thanks for your feedback, your passion & for your love of Sonic. You did this. Thank you!"

We're happy for him as well. Schwartz isn't the only one who is feeling grateful right now. Director Jeff Fowler had previously posted a similar tweet and even teased on a possible sequel to the film.

It was previously reported that Sonic is currently estimated to bring in $100 million in the worldwide box office but the numbers could get better by the end of the long weekend. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
