Sonic The Hedgehog Redesign Revealed In New Poster

Remember when the Sonic the Hedgehog movie was supposed to premiere in early November? Unfortunately, the film has been delayed so that the speedy blue critter could get redesigned. On the other hand, it looks like Paramount Pictures has done a good job at fixing Sonic's look, as revealed in a new poster for the film.

The photo of the movie standee was shared on Twitter and it looks more like the Sonic we all know and love. Check it out below.

It is unclear where the standee was found but Sonic looks like himself in the poster. Of course, we'll need to see a new trailer first before we can confirm that the redesign actually worked. Nevertheless, the poster offers a small glimpse at what fans can look forward to next year.

Paramount has previously pledged to fix Sonic's look following an overwhelming backlash when the film's first trailer was released in April. Since then, there have been brief glimpses at the redesign that were considered promising. Hopefully, we'll get another trailer soon.

The description for the film reads as follows:

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.

Sonic the Hedgehog is set to come out Feb. 14, 2020.
