Sonic the Hedgehog Director Offers Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson a Cameo

After initially looking like a movie you watch to break up with your boyfriend/girlfriend, Sonic the Hedgehog now looks like a decent enough family film. The new character design is amazing and it actually enhances the comedy of Jim Carrey, which is still hit-and-miss for some. That being said, fans are wondering if we'll see any big cameos from this movie, including a Great One if you catch my drift.

I mean, look at the title of this article. It's obvious who I'm about to talk about…

On Twitter, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who somehow hasn't been in the WWE Hall of Fame yet, commented on how he used to play Sonic games during his time in college and considers it pretty surreal to see a movie based on the blue blur. Jeff Fowler, the director of this movie, has offered Johnson a cameo role, stating that there is "still time" for one.

What kind of role Johnson would have in this movie would be hard to predict, though it would be awesome if he randomly ends up being the voice of Knuckles or Tails. That probably won't end up happening and he will likely voice one of the many robots that Sonic destroys but things can always change.

Though it would be too much to claim that the movie looks "great," there's no doubt that Sonic the Hedgehog is in a much better place now than it was a few months ago. Now, you won't be ashamed to ask your partner if they want to watch it on February 14, 2020.
