Sonic The Hedgehog: Check Out Render of What a Live-Action Tails would Look Like

Paramount had basically nailed it when it came to the redesign of Sonic the Hedgehog, and with this movie being a hit, it's possible that we would be getting some sequels which would feature Sonic with his other friends from the game. Just in, Sony art director Raf Grassetti posted up his take on what Sonic's sidekick Tails would look like.

[SPOILERS FOR SONIC THE HEDGEHOG] The mid-credits scene for Sonic actually features a cameo by Tails, and this piece actually looks pretty close to the final thing. With Sonic providing the main template for the characters, it's kind of fun how they managed to make Tails a bit chubbier for the film. I guess the face looks a bit different, but this is pretty close. [END SPOILERS]

Like I said, we should expect some more Sonic films down the line, and it's likely that they will rely heavily on more characters from the lore. While Tails is a nice secondary character, I'm sure some fans will be looking for the likes of Knuckles, Amy Rose, and the edgiest of them all—Shadow the Hedgehog.

Sonic tries to navigate the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound best friend -- a human named Tom Wachowski. They must soon join forces to prevent the evil Dr. Robotnik from capturing Sonic and using his powers for world domination.

Sonic the Hedgehog is now out in theaters.
