Sonic The Hedgehog Asks if The Rock is New President yet and Dwayne Johnson has the Best Response

There is little doubt that Sonic the Hedgehog is going to be a hilarious action-packed film considering that the blue speedster has a tendency of dropping awesome one-liners. For instance, the new teaser for the movie features Sonic wondering if The Rock has been elected President. Not surprisingly, Dwayne Johnson is loving the reference and he has the best reaction to the promo.

The new teaser was shared on the official Sonic the Hedgehog movie Twitter account. You can check it out below.

He's a funny little guy, isn't he? Well, Johnson thinks so, too. The Jumanji: The Next Level star retweeted the promo along with an awesome caption.

So crazy I used to love playing Sonic in college. Many moons later this... life can be so damn wildly unpredictable and surreal at times," Johnson wrote.

We're not exactly surprised that Johnson played the Sega games (didn't we all do that?) and it's great to step back and realize that he's just like the rest of us. On the other hand, the former WWF champion also seems like a great candidate for the presidency so Sonic might be on to something here.

The description for Sonic the Hedgehog reads as follows:

"The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination."

Johnson's Jumanji: The Next Level is currently screening in theaters worldwide. Sonic the Hedgehog is scheduled for release on February 14, 2020.
