Solo: Woody Harrelson's Beckett Gets Star Wars Prequel Comic

Now that Solo: A Star Wars Story is showing and either impressing or annoying fans, there is no doubt that it has added some to the mythology of Star Wars. Focusing on Han's early years was an interesting move and could make for an interesting mini-franchise if Alden Ehrenreich's three-film contract is anything to go by.

One character who fans are curious about is Beckett, played by actor Woody Harrelson. Many are thinking that he will be the villain or will at least betray Han at some point. He did tell the young Solo not to trust anyone after all. Still, fans curious about Beckett have a one-shot from Marvel comics to look forward to.

Coming out in August, Star Wars: Beckett #1 comes out in August and takes place before Solo: A Star Wars Story. Written by former Deadpool writer Gerry Duggan, this one-shot will explain why Solo villain Enfys Nest hates Tobias Beckett so much, which should be interesting to see. It's a bit odd that the comic will be coming out in August, a whole two months after Solo hits theaters, but there's no crying over spilled milk.

This isn't the only Solo tie-in Marvel is publishing. Lando: Double or Nothing is a five-issue mini-series based on the popular Star Wars character, who will be played by Donald Glover in Solo.
