Solo: Lucasfilm Has Confirmed That The Images Released Aren't Official

Earlier today we thought that we had our first official look at Alden Ehrenreich and the rest of the cast in the Solo movie, but Disney has come out to say that the images were not official. As per ScreenRant:

"We have been informed by Disney/Lucasfilm that this Solo artwork is not official."

Though the images were said not to be official, I don't really think the statement means they're fake. It's possible that the leak that has come out was some sort of mock-up and it somehow made its way to the public. If it is a fake though, someone hire whoever made this piece because it sure fooled me. Part of me is thinking maybe the image is definitely of the cast but the graphics and look at the Millennium Falcon are the "unofficial" images that Disney is alluding to.

With 5 months till release, a lot of fans are concerned that no promotional material has been released for Solo: A Star Wars Story. The thing is, I have a feeling Lucasfilm only wants to start promotion once The Last Jedi ends its theatrical run. The hype is at an all-time high for TLJ, and shifting focus to Solo could make the movie lose some momentum.

Hopefully we'll get our first trailer come the new year.

Solo: A Star Wars Story comes out May 25, 2018.
