Solo: A Star Wars Story Has Han And Chewie Butting Heads

Han and Chewie might have one of the strongest bonds in the Star Wars franchise, but it looks like the two are going to butt heads as their friendship begins to unfold in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Young Han Solo actor Alden Ehrenreich went on an interview with the USA Today to talk about Lucasfilm's highly anticipated Star Wars spinoff movie and during their discussion the Hail Caesar! star went on opening up about Han and Chewie's dynamic in Solo.

"Chewie's about 190 years old, so he's not exactly young in Wookiee terms," said Ehrenreich. "They both have very strong personalities so they butt heads a little bit."

Butting heads might seem a bit new, though Star Wars fans already know that the two can't help but throw lines at each other. It's definitely going to be interesting seeing Han and Chewie's friendship blossom in Solo. Unlike the smug cynic that fans come to love in the original trilogy, the younger version of Han's a whole lot more optimistic.

"He's more of an idealist in hardscrabble circumstances, dreaming of a better life and all the adventures he's going to have," Ehrenreich tells the publication. "Part of the fun is watching him face reality and learn some hard lessons."

We wonder what specific circumstances might hammer Han's cynicism in Solo. Would it be Qi'ra's (Emilia Clark) potential death or the likeliness of a betrayal? Let's wait and see.

Solo: A Star Wars Story premieres May 27.
