Disney is developing a new live-action adaptation of another animated classic: Snow White, and it will expand on the story and the music of the1937 film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney is looking to hire The Girl on the Train screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson to write the script, and it will feature songs composed by songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who recently penned the lyrics for the upcoming film La La Land.

Snow White was the first animated feature film that was released by Disney. We've already seen a few live-action Snow White films like Snow White and the Hunstmen and Mirror Mirror, but Disney will probably stick more to the animated classic instead of adding other plot points.

At this point, we can expect Disney to make a live-action adaptation of each animated classic they've released. In September, it was announced that Jon Favreau will direct a "live-action" Lion King. What's next? Pocahontas? The Hunchback of Notre Dame? Frozen?
