Skeletor And He-Man Dance To Fame In This Kick-Ass Insurance Commercial

Few cartoon villains have been able to achieve the iconic status of Skeletor from He Man & The Masters of the Universe. Even people who haven’t seen the cartoon will instantly recognize him for his near-naked blue body and skull face. Now the villain of Eternia prances around dancing Fame in an insurance commercial for UK-based financial service, MoneySuperMarket.

Either that’s a bodybuilder painted blue or a very impressive rubber suit, but Skeletor looks damn ripped. I’ve seen a lot of Skeletor costumes online, but this one is on an entirely new level. Have I even mentioned the guy playing He Man? He’s freakin’ ripped! Then again, it could just be an elaborate muscle suit, but boy does it look impressive. Chris Pratt’s He Man looks underweight by comparison.

He Man was a pop-culture icon in the 80s, and a live-action movie has been sitting in development hell over at Sony for years. Several directors have been attached to the project including Brett Ratner (Rush Hour), Jon M. Chu (GI Joe: Retaliation), and McG (Charlie’s Angels), but the project seems to be having a hard time moving forward.

I would suggest Peter Jackson to direct the movie, but seeing as to how The Hobbit Trilogy turned out, he might be tired from big-budget fantasy epics. We’ll just never know who’s up for the task of directing a He Man movie.
