Silver and Black Spider-Man Spinoff Reportedly Set To Start Production In Atlanta Next Year

It looks like Sony is planning to start working on the Spider-Man spinoff Silver and Black in Atlanta, Georgia next year.

According to Omega Underground, the project is due to begin production in Atlanta in 2018 and a lot of fans are expecting principal photography to start right after Venom finishes up production in February next year. Silver and Black just recently started pre-production this month with the studio adding in Doctor Strange visual effects supervisor Sheena Duggal to the production theme. Black Panther costume designer Ruth E. Carter was also added in by Silver & Black director Gina Prince-Bythewood.

Slated to release in cinemas by 2019, the film will serve as Sony's second installment in its upcoming series of solo films featuring the antiheroes and supervillains from its Spider-Man franchise. The first spinoff to release is Tom Hardy's upcoming Venom, a standalone slated to release in October next year.

If the reports that Silver and Black will start production next year are true, then it proves that the studio has a lot of confidence n its upcoming Spider-Man spinoffs, though we're not really sure whether or not we'll get a Spider-Man cameo or two.

Sony doesn't have a specific release date for Silver and Black just yet, but we'll let everyone know as soon as we get word.
