Silicon Valley's Kumail Nanjiani Talks About Working On Mass Effect: Andromeda

Actor and comedian Kumail Nanjiani has been getting a lot more popularity after he starred as Pied Piper programmer Dinesh in HBO's Silicon Valley, and news has it that he'll be voicing an alien character in Mass Effect: Andromeda named Jarun Tann.

Bioware Base has released a video of Nanjani talking about his character, and he describes Jarun as a Salarian politician who "means well" but "also likes power." Tann's character is also trying to make sure that the bad guys don't win, but in the same time, he also wants to make sure that he's still on top of the political chain.

Nanjiani also describes Tann to be very self-important, but as the story goes along, his insecurities unravel. It's funny how his character in Silicon Valley also likes to talk big, but at the same time is always antagonized by Martin Starr's character Gilfoyle.

I don't know about you, but seeing a comedian in a role like this makes me think about Alan Tudyk playing K-2SO in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Sure the character of Jarun Tann is tall and imposing, but I bet he has some sarcastic remarks and quips to keep players entertained as the game progresses.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is set for a release on March 21.
