It's long been rumored that the Shocker will be a villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming. A supposed leaked call sheet put actor Bokeem Woodbine (known for Fargo and Riddick) into the role of Herman Schultz. Schultz is the civilian identity of Spider-Man's most shocking villain.

A mysterious collection of set photos posted on Instagram indicates that speculation may be right. It's unknown when the photos were taken or exactly where they come from, but they look like the real deal. And they show an actor wearing a costume very similar to the Shocker's.

You can see the photos below:

The Shocker first debuted in 1967 when he appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #46. He was created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr. The character is a talented engineer and inventor, but he uses those talents for crime. He uses technology he created to cause seismic disruptions.

The yellow outfit and full face mask worn in these phots definitely point to The Shocker. The Shocker has to insulate himself from the "shocks" he causes with his tech, so he wears a thick, yellow, quilt-like costume. It looks silly, but it's practical since it absorbs the shocks and leaves the villain wearing it unharmed.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to debut on July 7, 2017.

What do you think of the photos? Are they real? If they are, do you think the Shocker is a good choice for one of the movie's villains?
