Coming out next year, the suggested lighter tone and some of the casting decisions have excited many who are hoping that the film will help DC turn a corner into success.
Interestingly enough, Asher Angel has already wrapped production. Angel will be portraying Billy Batson, the child who turns into the former Captain Marvel himself, Shazam.
The young actor confirmed the news on Twitter, thanking everyone for their help and discussed what a good experience it was. He also shared a picture of himself with Zachary Levi, who will be playing the transformed version of the character Shazam. Since he discussed experience a lot, we can only hope he puts on a good performance.
Reports about Superman possibly appearing and the eventual crossover with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Black Adam has many hoping that the Shazam film is a success. It should be a fun film and we can only hope Warner Bros. has learned from the many mistakes made throughout the years.
