Shazam! Photo Possibly Gives Us A Mock-Up Of Captain Marvel's Logo

Though Aquaman may be the only DCEU movie set to come out this year, 2019 will bring us a new superhero who wasn't even in the Justice League—Captain Marvel. Shazam! director David F. Sandberg shares this photo with star Zachary Levi, and there's this cool detail in the background:

Behind them is what looks to be a simple mock-up of Captain Marvel, and on his chest is the familiar Thunderbolt logo. Like I said, it's possible that this is only a mock-up, but with protagonist Billy Batson being a young boy, this film could introduce some animations in the form of Batson's imagination.

I'm just spit-balling here.

With Sandberg's work more on the horror side of films, I'm curious on how upbeat and kid-friendly Shazam! is going to end up as. Then again, director Jon Watts was also more focused on scary movies, but Spider-Man: Homecoming turned out great.

Though fans were expecting Captain Marvel to clash with Black Adam in this movie, it looks like the main antagonist is going to be classic comic villain Doctor Silvana, and rumor has it that Mark Strong (Green Lantern) is in talks to play the part. As for Adam, the Rock is set to play him, and rumor has it that he's going to be the main villain of the Suicide Squad sequel.

Shazam! comes out April 5, 2019.
