So far, we've seen one clip from Star Wars: The Force Awakens; with only a few days away from its release, director J.J. Abrams has lifted the lid of his mystery box, but just slightly.
During Abrams’ interview with 60 Minutes on Sunday night, the director allowed cameras into the editing room while he was cutting together the scene where Rey (Daisy Ridley) meets BB-8 for the first time. Footage of the moment can be seen at around the 7-minute mark in the video below:
He also revealed how he came up with the BB-8's design. There's also a clip of Abrams' wife, Katie McGrath, sharing her opinion about the film. 60 Minutes also revealed some clips showing composer John Williams conducting the film's opening musical piece, which plays after the traditional fanfare and crawl, according to Abrams. “It’s almost cheating, when you have John Williams, because he writes feelings,” Abrams said to 60 Minutes. “He knows how to make your heart soar like no one else.”
Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters Dec.18.
