Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, said that Captain America: Civil War is going to be darker than Avengers: Age of Ultron, and now another Civil War star opened up about the "brutal" fight scenes in the movie.
In an interview with We Got This Covered, Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier in the movie franchise, was asked whether or not he'd like to take over the role of Captain America in the films like what his character does in the comics, and he said:
"No, I really wouldn't, let me tell you, I think about that every day. It's so not up to me, and to be honest I really enjoy my job over there, I'm really happy going to work and doing what I do. I love the character that I have. It's up to a lot of different things, and whatever Marvel decides, I'm game."
Marvel Studios isn't afraid to deviate from its source material, so I won't be surprised if Chris Evans will still play the iconic character in the Infinity War films.
Stan also described what we could expect from Civil War:
"I think it's going to be the best one, no, no, butfor real,I am very excited to see it for myself. I only worked on set for five weeks, so I wasn't there for the majority of it, but Daniel Brühl is an incredible actor and he's playing the main villain in it. He's incredible. It's a movie about people as opposed to robots this time, so it's darker and it's allowed to be darker because it gets more in the mindset of humans rather than machines."
It sounds like Civil War will have a more complex, more character-driven premise than Age of Ultron. I expect the film to feature a lot of spectacular action, but unlike Michael Bay's Transformers films, I believe we're going to see some interesting character development in it.
Captain America: Civil War will be released in theaters on May 6, 2016.
