Sebastian Stan Explains How Filming For Avengers: Infinity War Works Even Without A Complete Script

Being the start of the culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Avengers: Infinity War is indubitably one of the biggest films in the franchise and Marvel's done a lot to help protect the film from spoilers.

Not only does the studio put its actors under a strict secrecy clause, Marvel also avoids handing out the complete script of the film, handing Marvel stars like Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie only parts of the script during the day of filming.

While it might seem a bit tricky working without a complete script, Stan and Mackie tell Screen Rant that the cast for Infinity War actually have an overall idea of what's going to happen in the film.

"We have an outline. We have an overall idea of what the movie is," Mackie reveals. "The Russos come to us and tell us where we are in the movie. You know for an actor, the most important thing is where you're coming from and where you're going, to explain what you're doing in that scene. So, they always give us that information."

Stan also says that directors Joe and Anthony Russo trust their cast, saying that the actor's history with their characters is also a big part of the film.

"There's also trust" the Winter Soldier actor adds on. "We've been with these characters so long, I feel like they trust us. It's not like you're showing up to all new material. You come to it with a history, and that's part of it also.

The Russo brothers have formerly been described as collaborative directors on the set of Infinity War, so it doesn't come as a surprise to hear Stan saying that the directors trust their actors.

Avengers: Infinity War premieres April 27.
