Samuel L. Jackson Wants Mace Windu To Return

Star Wars Celebration is in full gear and a lot of celebrities and bigwigs from the franchise are coming to the event. One of those celebrities, however, isn't Samuel L. Jackson, who played Jedi Master Mace Windu in the Star Wars prequels. Jackson, however, has left a pre-recorded video for the event, and he says that he's willing to return as his character in future Star Wars movies.

In the video, Jackson had expressed his interest in getting Windu to return. He says:

"While you're all sitting there, I know you're all in my corner on this, we know Jedi can fall from incredible heights and survive. So, apparently, I am not dead! Yes, I have two appendages right now, but we know the long and rich history of Star Wars characters reappearing with new appendages and being stronger and better than they ever were. Mace Windu is awaiting his return. Let's make it happen."

The last time we saw Mace was when he was blasted out of Palpatine's window during Revenge of the SIth. Nothing else from the expanded universe had touched on Windu surviving, but seeing that Darth Maul had lived for several years after his supposed "death" in The Phantom Menace, Windu is very likely to return.

If the character were to return, however, I could very well see him starring in one of the anthology movies. He would have been perfect as a member of Saw Gerrera's militia in Rogue One. With spinoffs centered on Obi-Wan, Boba Fett, and Han Solo in the works, there's a lot of room for Windu to return in a galaxy far far away.
