Ryan Reynolds recently shared a horrifying photo of an unmasked Deadpool via Twitter.

It's not the first time that the 39-year-old actor shared something Deadpool to appease fans, but it is his first posting an unmasked photo of the Merc with the Mouth. Staying true to his character, Reynolds captioned the photo with a funny joke in German.

The German caption translates to:

Berlin! Finally I see the place where David Hasselhoff has destroyed the wall with his powerful voice!

An unmasked Deadpool isn't really rare as seen on the film's trailers and TV spots. TJ Miller's Weasel even told his friend "he looks like an avocado" that "had sex with an older avocado."

Nevertheless, the still of the superhero's head without his mask is just as ghastly.

The tweet comes as another marketing move from the Deadpool team to entice fans, but the post is on point to the character's sense of humor.

The film's marketing is working too. Currently, Deadpool is expected to rake in an estimated $60 million in ticket sales when it opens on February 12. It's also the "first choice" pick on opening weekend, according to Cinema Blend.

I can't really say for sure which part of the movie Reynolds' current tweet will appear in, but it's probably some action scene where the mercenary just wanted to get a kick out of a good scare. Mask or no mask, I'm excited to see Deadpool before Valentine's Day. Are you excited too?
