Production for Deadpool 2 has just begun and Merc with a Mouth star Ryan Reynolds celebrates the R-rated movie's first day of principal photography by sharing a new photo taken from the film's set. Earlier, we shared a new series of set photos showing Deadpool crashing a kiddie party in Deadpool 2 but this new image comes from Reynolds himself.
Sharing a picture of the Deadpool 2 clapboard showing the first take of one of the movie's scenes on Instagram, Reynolds makes a quick reference to the mutant hero's catchphrase with a caption, "Maximum Effort 2.0." Check out the image down below:
Of course while Reynold's celebratory set photo making its way online close after the release of the birthday-crash set photos doesn't really mean that the first scene has anything to do with the party, it's possible the scene comes early in Deadpool 2. There's also no certainty how long Deadpool's going to stay at the children's birthday party, but knowing the Merc with a Mouth we're sure that the gathering won't be a kiddie-only affair – the mutant doesn't hold out with his curses.
Deadpool 2 is slated for release on June 1, 2018.
