Rumored Details About Guillermo del Toro's Next Film, The Shape of Water

While a lot of Pacific Rim fans are waiting for the sequel, Guillermo del Toro has other projects in the works, and one of them is a film described as an "otherworldly love story" set against the backdrop of the Cold War in 1963, and now some rumored details have been shared online.

According to The Tracking Board, the film is called The Shape of Water, and Sally Hawkins and Octavia Butler are said to star in the film that involves a mute janitor named Elisa (Hawkins) who falls for an amphibious man who's being kept at the lab. She tries to free him with the help of her neighbor, who's said to be portrayed by Richard Jenkins. However, "the world outside of the lab, may prove to be more dangerous for the strange creature than Elisa could have anticipated.

The report also claims that Michael Stuhlbarg is involved in the film, so it looks like del Toro will be acquiring a terrific cast for this love story. They haven't revealed who would be playing the amphibious man yet, and no release date has been announced.
