Rumor: Green Lantern Character To Appear In Justice League?

After the disaster that was 2011's Green Lantern movie, it's clear that Warner Bros. may want to wait a little while before rebooting the character. Rumor has it that a Green Lantern character will be appearing in the Justice League movie which is set to come out this November.

According to Umberto Gonzalez on Periscope.tv, Justice League will be including a Green Lantern character with a "funny sounding name." With all the alien members of the Corps, it could be assumed that the GL member won't be human like Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Guy Gardner, or Kyle Rayner.

Since Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) is the only female member of the League so far, it's possible that the character appearing could be a female Lantern like Arisia Rrab. It could also be someone completely alien like Kilowog or Tomar-Re.

The news should be taken with a grain of salt, but it's entirely possible to have a presence of another League member in the movie. Back when the image of Momoa as Aquaman was first revealed, it came with the tagline, "Unite The Seven." Since only six members have been confirmed for the team, it's entirely possible that a member of the Lantern Corps. would appear — that or it could be alluding to Martian Manhunter.

Justice League is set for a release on Nov. 17, and Green Lantern Corps. Is set to come out sometime in 2020.
