Rogue One Villain’s Reading Of The Lion King’s Scar is Terrifying

Ben Mendelsohn did a pretty good job playing the part of Imperial Director Orson Krennic in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Determined and aggressively go-getting, Mendelsohn’s take at the Empire’s Director of Advanced Weapons Research gave the character an air of someone who’s clawed his way up the ranks, making him a pretty interesting villain for the Star Wars spinoff.

On a high playing the Star Wars villain, Mendelsohn went ahead to do another baddie with Radio host Triple J: Scar from The Lion King. Taking the script from the film, Triple J asked the Australian actor to read a few of Scar’s lines along with some music for effect.

"Enemies beware," the Rogue One star read, “I'm gonna be the main event like no king was before. I'm brushing up. I'm looking down. I'm working on my roar. No one saying do this. No one saying be there. No one saying stop that. No one saying stay here. Free to run around all day. Free to do it my way. I just can't wait to be king. I just can't wait... to be king."

Though the original version of Scar by Jeremy Irons was also enough to shake children up for a few weeks, Mendelsohn’s whisper chills the blood. This Rogue One star certainly knows how to act the villain.
