Based on what we've heard from the ones who've watched Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the trailers we've seen, it's clear that the film will carry a lot of emotional weight. After all, the story is about a band of underdog Rebels in a desperate mission to steal the plans for the Death Star. Lucasfilm released a new TV spot called "Hope Begins" and it clearly echoes the themes of hope despite the struggles the heroes will face.
The TV spot features new looks at Mon Mothma, Baze, Yavin IV, and U-Wings and X-Wings over Scarif. Watch the TV spot below:
From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be released in theaters on December 16, 2016.
