‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ To Feature Big Darth Vader Action Scenes?

Warning: Possible Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spoilers ahead. Read at your own risk.

Darth Vader might have major action scenes in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, according to Making Star Wars.

The sequences have yet to be revealed. However, the site claims that recent storyboard "pitches" show Darth Vader going off on a killing spree using both the Force and his lightsaber. He is reportedly seen levitating bodies, making human shields, decapitating and dismembering rebels with his lightsaber.

There really isn't much revealed by the Darth Vader "pitches," other than there was a lot of smoke as Vader wreaked havoc.

If the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story art is real, then it shows a more violent side of Darth Vader from what we've seen in previous Star Wars films.

An earlier report by MSW said that Darth Vader is being made several armored suits for the film, making the gruesome action scenes even more plausible. They wouldn't be making suits for Vader if there isn't going to be any action.

There's also rumors that Rogue One, which is set between Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope, is Rated R, as seen on a post by Jay from Indie Revolver.

For what it's worth I'd heard that the script as originally constituted for Rogue One was pushing an R rating.

If the rumors are true, it's interesting to see how Vader is made even more violent than he already is in Gareth Edwards' Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Although, as suggested by Star Wars Underworld, I have to agree that it would be unlikely for Disney and Lucasfilm to make an R rated war film this early on in the franchise.

In any case, I'm excited to see how this movie pans out on December 16. Until then, take this rumor with a grain of salt because Lucasfilm or Disney hasn't confirmed any of it.
