Robert Downey Jr. may have a big role in Captain America: Civil War, but don't expect Tony Stark to have a standalone film anytime soon. The actor talked with USA Today for a Captain America: Civil War set visit, he was asked about the possibility of a fourth Iron Man film, and although Downey seems open to play his character as long as Marvel allows him, he admitted, "I don't think that's in the cards."

"In a way it's Cap 3 but for me it's like my little Iron Man 4," Downey explained. "And then it's back to the thing we all recognize. Everything pulls over to the side of the road when the thunder of an Avengers thing comes through because that's how it is until it changes. If it changes."

Iron Man might not have his own solo film anytime soon, but we'll probably see more of Downey Jr. in the upcoing Avengers: Infinity War films.

Captain America: Civil War will be released in theaters on Dec. 15, 2017.
