Robert Downey Jr. is Open To Do One More Solo Iron Man Movie

On ABC News Nightline last night, a special inside look was shown for Captain America: Civil War, and it focused on the epic battle in the film that takes place in the Germany airport. The clip features interviews with the cast and crew discussing the film, and in the process,Robert Downey Jr. talked about his future as Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Downey Jr. is already set to appear in next year's Spider-Man: Homecoming and the two-part Avengers: Infinity War. But what about Iron Man 4? When he was asked during the special if he's open to doing another solo Iron Man film, he said, "I feel like I could do one more."

This is the first time we've actually heard RDJ say that he'd be up for another Iron Man film.

Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark's surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability."

Captain America: Civil War is set to release on May 5, 2016; Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7, 2017.
