Riot Mobile Will Replace League+ App in October


Riot Games has announced the new Riot Mobile app, which is meant to be an "upgrade" replacing the League+ mobile app on October 4. The new mobile app will provide support for all of the developer's primary titles, including VALORANT, League of Legends, Wild Rift, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra.

First released on both the Apple and Google app stores in 2016, the League+ app provided players with League news and videos, in-game chat functions, check personal history, and the ability to watch live matches.

Riot Mobile 1.0 will feature player profiles, with the ability to chat with other Riot users across various games and regions, as well as "quick paths" to ffinding and making friends. Players can also filter out the games they don't follow. Riot has plans to improve features regarding esports, player security, and match history.

Riot Mobile will feature multi-game newswfeed, and will support the following titles at launch:

VALORANT
League of Legends
League of Legends: Wild Rift
Legends of Runeterra
Team Fight Tactics

"Our main focus will be making it easier for players to connect with the content and people they enjoy across all of our titles in a fun and comfortable way," Riot said. "You will start to see significant improvements to experiences around esports, match history and player security shortly after our initial launch."

Riot Mobile will launch on October 4; If you already have the League+ app installed, you don't need to install anything. The update will upgrade League+ app to Riot Mobile on launch date.
