Star Wars: Episode VIII director Rian Johnson's good luck charm actor is Noah Segan, so it's perhaps already expected that the 32-year-old actor is getting a role in Episode VIII.
According to Birth.Movies.Death, Segan recently stopped by London's Pinewood Studios. Because Segan sometimes writes pieces for the website, BMD thought they'd be getting the scoop on which role he'll be playing in the highly anticipated film. But just like any other trustworthy Star Wars cast, Segan is keeping a tight lid on the details of his role, so BMD instead asked Johnson himself about it.
Apparently though, Johnson is dishing the details for a fee.
He tweeted:
While the filmmaker's response was most probably done in jest, it would be interesting to know Segan's role, which could literally be anything at all.
Segan's character isn't the only mysterious role piquing the curiosity of many fans. We still don't know who Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kellie Marie Tran will portray. We've seen speculations and hints about their roles though. Del Toro is believed to play a villain, while Dern is rumored to play Rey's mother. Meanwhile, Tran has been mentioned in an interview by actor John Boyega (Finn), who said she's a "new star" to "watch out for." This could mean Tran will play a key role in the film.
Other details about Episode VIII, including its plot, have also been kept under wraps.
So far, most of what we know about the film have been speculation and as days pass leading to the release of Episode VIII, we're learning that there's more that we don't know about this movie.
In any case, we could at least expect to learn the aforementioned actors' specific roles once the trailer for Episode VIII comes out.
The movie will hit theaters on December 15, 2017.
