Writer and director Rian Johnson took it to Tumblr to announce that filming for Star Wars: Episode VIII is halfway done. And as expected from a filmmaker who has a habit of revealing fresh things on social media, it's not surprising that he also revealed a couple of photos from the set of the highly-anticipated film on his Tumblr blog. He previously evealed photos of the Millennium Falcon set and Lupita Nyong'o' performing her CGI character Maz Kanata.
Now we get a sneak peak at a crew members cleaning various sets, including a Resistance X-Wing and First Order work station, both of which are manned by actors in full costume. He also wrote:
"I can't believe we're halfway through the shoot. (We're halfway through the shoot!)"
