Captain Marvel looks like another solid MCU installment but that won't stop certain people from review bombing the movie after they chose to view her comments about the lack of colored critics as hate speech. That's how insecure they are. While the film has a fairly solid score from critics, the audience meter is at an all-time low for an MCU film due to the review bombing.
Rian Johnson, someone who is probably familiar with review bombing, has decided to comment on this matter and throw some shade to these fools. Seeing how much it has been review-bombed, Johnson called it the new badge for certified fresh, which is pretty great. It's basically a badge of honor since the movie was in spite of those that don't want diversity or for women to be portrayed in a strong manner.
Johnson directed Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which continues to be the most divisive film in the franchise so he can definitely relate to this film's reception. Unlike The Last Jedi, however, Captain Marvel was hated before people saw it while Johnson's Star Wars movie was hated after people viewed it.
Regardless of these review bombs, there will definitely be fans who will check out this movie. After all, it will have crucial ties to Avengers: Endgame and we all need to know why she didn't appear in the other movies. Fans can check out the movie now.
