Resident Evil 7 Will Have Zombie Humanoids

Resident Evil 7 may be looking to change the main approach of the franchise. But that doesn't mean that fans will not feel some familiar tinge when they play the upcoming game.

Since zombies have been a big part of the Resident Evil franchise, it's expected that the next iteration in the series will have some form of allusion to the undead. According to GamesRadar, Capcom is still looking to deliver this kind of experience.

At the CEDEC conference in Japan, the developer showed off a new technology that was able to transform some faces into their more grotesque, zombie-like counterparts.

Going into detail, one NeoGAF user had given some pointers on what Capcom had presented. In particular, when it came to the zombie enemies, it seems that Resident Evil 7 will have these. The only thing that the developer is currently in the process of experimenting on is how they will be created.

So far, it appears that these humanoid enemies will be created by hand using 3D models, in case recreation cannot be done using the new technology that the developer is using. Capcom also hinted that the game is treating atmosphere as an important factor. Since there are some aspects of Resident Evil 7 that looks and feels more like a horror movie, the techniques being done in development even includes set actors to create the humanoid zombies.

Resident Evil 7 will be out on the PS4 and Xbox One next year.
