Relive the '90s with DreamWorks' New 'Trolls' Trailer

20th Century Fox recently released the trailer for DreamWorks Animation’s movie about the ‘90s fad of the same name, Trolls.

The trailer shows a bunch of colourful trolls cheerfully dancing to Silento’s hit Watch Me, until a “Bergen” eats one of the trolls.

It looks like DreamWorks has gone big with this one since the film features an all-star voice cast including Justin Timberlake as Branch, Anna Kendrick as Princess Poppy, Russell Brand as Creek, Gwen Stefani as DJ Suki, James Corden as Biggie, Kunal Nayyar as Guy Diamond, YouTube stars GloZell Green and Meg DeAngelis as Grandma Rosiepuff and Moxie, respectively; Ron Funches as Cooper, and Icona Pop duo, Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo as the Fashionistas.

Phew, that’s a lot of big names. Timberlake is also acting executive music producer and performing songs for the film’s soundtrack.

Since Trolls is brought by the team that also brought us Shrek Forever After – Director Mike Mitchell, Co-director Walt Dohrn, and Producer Gina Shay – it wouldn’t be surprising if the animated film turns out to be as hilarious as Shrek.

Gleaning from the trailer, it looks like a fun movie to check out in cinemas. Personally, I loved playing and collecting trolls when I was a kid, so it would be nostalgic seeing these collectibles coming to life on the big screen. Also, it’s the first time that their colorful hair is being explained. It’s interesting to find out what the story is behind their manes.

Trolls is slated for released on November 4, 2016.
